Professor Dennis Velakoulis completed his psychiatry training in 1994 and has been Director of the Neuropsychiatry Centre Royal Melbourne Hospital since 2001. He established the Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre (University of Melbourne) together with Professor Christos Pantelis (2004-2024). Professor Velakoulis’ clinical and research work covers all areas of neuropsychiatry including dementia, schizophrenia, brain imaging and genetics. He has a successful publication track record and been a chief investigator in numerous grants.
