DR LEWIS KARAPANOS BBMed(Hons) M.D. – Surgical Registrar
Lewis is an enthusiastic fifth-year postgraduate unaccredited general surgery registrar who will be working at Alfred Health next year. He is also an Honorary Researcher at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Throughout Lewis’ junior medical career, he has focused largely on surgical disciplines, with a particular emphasis on general surgery and ophthalmology. He has a strong interest in global and rural health. Lewis has also volunteered overseas at the Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital Ophthalmology Department in Cambodia, and has just finished working almost 1.5 years at Goulburn Valley Health, Shepparton. As of late, Lewis has had a change in career interest, and is looking to specialise in the field of interventional radiology.
