HMSA HONOURS OXI DAY

HMSA commemorates OXI Greek National Day and pays tribute to all who fell in World War II and to those who suffered in the name of defending their freedom.

.

Ohi Day or Oxi Day is celebrated annually by Greek communities around the world on 28 October. Ohi Day commemorates the rejection by Greek Prime Minister Ioannis Metaxas of the ultimatum made by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini on 28 October 1940. It also commemorates the Hellenic counterattack against the invading Italian forces in the Pindus mountains and the Greek Resistance during the Axis occupation.

Lest we forget all those who fought for the freedom of Hellas.

Αιωνία τους η μνήμη.
